Łukasz Zając is a photographer and visual artist based in Poland. His personal practice focuses on documentary photography and subjective portraiture, exploring the relationships between human identity, memory, and space. Driven by the state of being “in-between” – shaped by shifting geographies, values, and perspectives – he uses the tension it creates as a primary source of creative inspiration. Through long-term projects (including Pidło and Why My Parents Have Never Been To Greece), he creates layered visual narratives that balance intimate, archival storytelling with a refined sense of light and form.
He completed the Sputnik Photos Mentoring Program in 2026 and is the author of the photobook Pidło (published by Rust Publishing). Alongside his personal projects, Zając regularly collaborates on commercial, editorial, and cultural assignments.
